Welcome to ChessPilot

Why we built ChessPilot, what it does, and where we're headed.

ChessPilot is a desktop companion for Chess.com that runs the world's strongest open-source chess engine, Stockfish, locally on your machine. No browser extension. No data sent to our servers. Just deep analysis of every position you play.

Why we built it

Most chess analysis tools are either:

  • Locked into a website that paywalls depth and features
  • Browser extensions that get blocked or break with every Chess.com update
  • Standalone GUIs that don't integrate with where you actually play

ChessPilot is the missing piece — a lightweight desktop app that watches your Chess.com game and shows you the engine's evaluation in real time, side by side with the board.

What it does today

  • Best Move Suggestions — Stockfish runs locally with configurable depth
  • Autoplay Mode — let the engine play optimal moves automatically (Premium)
  • Cross-platform — native binaries for Windows, macOS (Apple Silicon + Intel), and Linux
  • Privacy-first — every position is analyzed on your CPU, never sent to a server

What's next

We're working on:

  • Opening book and endgame tablebase support
  • Multi-PV display showing the top 5 engine lines simultaneously
  • Annotated PGN export with engine commentary
  • A built-in puzzle trainer powered by your game history

If you want to be part of the journey, join our Discord or grab the app.
